RADIO PROJECT KITS
Over the years I have often been asked for simple radio kits. I have researched the possibility of producing radio kits many times but have always been unable to source a consistent and reliable supplier of ferrite rod aerials. At last I have a reliable supplier of a complete basic radio kit.
KIT R2
Kit R2 is from Rapid Electronics and I can supply it for £12-50 plus normal post & packing (see ORDER FORM)
The kit contains a pcb, all components, wire and solder. It requires a pp3 battery which we can supply from our components page.
A less expensive radio kit (using an AA battery) is available at only £5-20.
KIT R1
Kit R1 is similar to kit R2, but runs on an AA battery instead of a PP3 battery. You need your own earphones, it has no knob on the tuning capacitor (make your own from card or plastic) and you have to wind your own aerial coil.
The amplifier kit (A1) includes a small loudspeaker and can be used to amplify the output from kit R1, or any other low power audio source. It runs on a PP3 battery.
